We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager & Branch Manager to lead our operations in Tanzania. This dual-role position requires a high-performing sales leader who can drive business growth while overseeing branch operations. The role will be responsible for expanding our customer base, ensuring high service standards, and managing the local team to deliver operational excellence.
As the primary point of contact between Tanzania operations and Kenya HQ, you will be instrumental in driving sales, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive business growth in Tanzania.
Identify and acquire new clients while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to optimise profitability.
Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
Work closely with marketing teams to implement sales campaigns and promotional activities.
Branch Management & Leadership
Provide leadership and oversight for all Tanzania operations.
Manage the local team, ensuring coordination and collaboration
Align branch operations with company strategy and report regularly to Kenya HQ.
Ensure seamless communication between the Tanzania team and headquarters.
Customer Relationship & Retention
Act as the single point of contact for key Tanzanian customers
Work closely with the customer support & success agent to resolve complex issues and enhance service delivery.
Implement customer retention strategies and ensure a high level of service quality.
Operational & Financial Oversight
Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, revenue targets, and cost management.
Supervise inventory management and procurement of essential supplies.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and local laws.
Maintain operational efficiency through planning and process improvements.
Local Market & Compliance Management
Establish relationships with local authorities and ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
Represent the company in industry events, partnerships, and negotiations.
Handle local purchases, supplier relationships, and facility management.
Manage daily operational issues and escalate major concerns to Kenya HQ as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing
7+ years of experience in B2B sales, fleet management, or automotive technology industries.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and business operations.
Proven track record in sales growth, negotiation, and client acquisition.
Strong financial management capabilities, including budgeting and revenue forecasting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in English and Kiswahili is required.
Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
